1. Commitment to Truth & Rapid Correction
When factual errors occur, TheNews100 promptly issues corrections, clarifications, or formal retractions. We preserve an immutable digital audit log for all editorial modifications.
2. Types of Editorial Notices
- Clarification / Update: Used when new verified information emerges that meaningfully refines or expands the original context.
- Correction: Used when a factual detail (e.g. date, figure, name) was erroneous. The correction is explicitly appended at the top of the article with timestamps.
- Full Retraction: Applied when the core premise of a story is found to be false or uncorroborated. Retracted articles are removed from active feeds, flagged with a permanent retraction notice, and de-indexed from search engines.
3. Requesting an Editorial Review
If you identify an inaccuracy in any TheNews100 publication, email our corrections desk at [email protected] with the article URL and supporting primary documentation.
