## घटना कैसे हुई और क्या है पूरा मामला
In late 2010, Maria de Mello made just 10 jars of tendlim pickle at home in Moira, Goa. “I was not even sure anyone would buy it,” she recalls. The first batch soon sold out.
The first batch sold out faster than expected. She made another, and that disappeared too. A small experiment was beginning to turn into something much bigger at home in Goa.
Maria had a master’s degree in clinical psychology and had worked with NGOs. After becoming a mother, she chose to work from home and keep cooking close to her children each day.
She explains, “Cooking had always been something I loved. So I thought, why not try making a few things from home and see if anyone would actually buy them?” That question started it all.
“Goa has a very diverse mix of people from different cultures, and that’s wonderful,” she says. “But because we are such a small state, it is also important to preserve our own cuisine and identity.”
