The City of Launceston has engaged Tamar NRM to plant 5,000 trees at the Launceston Waste Center revegetation site. This is going to be a huge community effort and NRM needs your help to plant them.
The planting will take place over four days at the end of July – 28-31 – with Sunday 31 July being National Tree Day. The site is the Launceston Waste Center at Mowbray.
5,000 trees over 4 days is a logistical challenge.
Tamar NRM are encouraging everyone to get involved – individuals, families, community groups, schools, businesses – plant one tree or plant a hundred, it’s up to you!
Tamarnrm.com.au is the place to go register your interest and your preferred timeslot to plant the trees.
Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm, and suitable clothes, and the organizers provide the rest.
