Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo could reportedly leave the club this summer with his agent Jorge Mendes said to be working on a transfer proposal for him to return to Juventus.
The Portugal international made a dramatic return to OId Trafford last summer with club chiefs hoping he could fire United towards winning some silverware. But Ronaldo endured a frustrating season with the club struggling for form under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick’s leadership.
With Ronaldo keen to challenge for trophies it has been claimed he could seek to leave United after only a year, and Mendes is now reportedly working on a switch back to Juventus. It comes as Ajax center-back and United transfer target Jurrien Timber’s agent has jetted into Manchester “for work”.
And the Red Devils have received a welcome Christian Eriksen transfer boost thanks to Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte.

Ronaldo transfer ‘proposal’
Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly working on a transfer proposal to get the forward out of Manchester United.
According to reports coming out of Spain, the former real Madrid forward could return to former club Juventus with Mendes submitting a proposal to the Italian outfit regarding the potential move. Ronaldo would have to lower his wage demands to secure the move, with Juve yet to rule out the possibility of re-signing the forward.
It means United are facing the prospect of losing a second star to Juventus this summer after the Italians signed Paul Pogba following the expiry of his contract in Manchester.
Agent jets to Manchester ‘for work’
Jurrien Timber’s agent has jetted into Manchester “for work” in a fresh twist to Manchester United’s transfer chase.
New Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has target the defender, who he managed during his time at Ajax. Previous reports have suggested Timber is reluctant to move to Old Trafford ahead of the World Cup later this year as he looks to earn a place in Louis van Gaal’s Netherlands squad.
But hopes that a move to United could be imminent have increased after Timber’s agent Revien Kanhai shared a photo on his Instagram story with the caption: “Love to travel for work”.
Eriksen transfer boost
Manchester United have been handed a welcome boost to their hopes of signing Christian Eriksen this summer, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly dropping out of the race to sign him.
Eriksen signed for Premier League outfit Brentford on a six-month deal in January as he made his return to the professional game following his release by Inter Milan after his horror heart-attack at Euro 2020. Previous reports had linked Eriksen with a return to Spurs, but Antonio Conte appears to have backed away from making a move for Eriksen.
