LA Times biz columnist Lazarus leaving for KTLA


David Lazarus

Los Angeles Times business correspondent David Lazarus coming out of the newspaper at the end of the month to go on KTLA radio.

She has been focusing on consumer events and joined them in 2007. She also appears daily on KTLA-TV Channel 5 and is a regular radio host.

His work has been featured in newspapers across the country and has led to various consumer protection laws.

It has roots in Southern California. He attended Ojai Valley School and Crossroads in Santa Monica before moving north to UC Berkeley, where he earned a degree in history. After graduating, “Laz” spent 12 years living abroad, working as a journalist in Athens, Bangkok and Tokyo.

He later co-founded the business and expertise of the Wired and San Francisco Chronicle before returning to Southland.

His work has received two National Headliner Awards and a major tribute from the Society of Professional Journalists. She received Golden Mike in a TV commentary and was named Journalist of the Year by the Consumer Federation of California.
