225 people die as result of riots in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s prosecutor’s office has announced the true death toll from the country’s violence. According to law enforcement agencies, 225 people were killed during the riots. Events mention reports Kazinform.

According to the Prosecutor General’s office, 4,578 people have been identified so far, with 4,353 injured. Among them are 3393 police officers.

“The 225 people who died in the crash were taken to a morgue,” said Serik Shalabaev, chief of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
